The National Conference on Earthquake Engineering is hosted every four years by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI). EERI's 2014 Annual Meeting is included as part of the 10NCEE.
The DGGS is charged by state statute to generate new, objective, peer-reviewed information about the geology of Alaska, the potential of Alaska’s land for production of minerals, fuels, and construction materials, and the potential geologic hazards to its people and infrastructure.
The Conference will showcase nearly 800 presentations over the four day period. The conference is broken into three session types: Plenary, Technical, and 5-in-5 Presentation & Poster Sessions.
In addition to the fantastic technical and social program being developed for the Conference, the meeting location makes this a special event.
